I didn't come from a journalism background. In fact, I didn't even use the internet much before developing this website. I worked in sales as a vendor on the manufacturing side of the action sports business. And I spent my spare time surfing, snow/wake/skateboarding, and falling off motorcycles when I did ride them. But for my business, I had to research action sports culture and trends. After years of site hopping and fishing through layers of content, it occurred to me that this action sports community needed a new resource - an interface that could give me only the information that I wanted, in a space where I could easily sort, read, and manage it - as efficiently as possible.

Action Sports Today (.com) was built on that one simple concept. The unique features that we have developed - My Dashboard, My Widgets, & My Backpack - allow the user to manage their chosen content categories & sources in one space, to create their own customizable homepage.
