Usually when you picture a trident it is while being under the sea (pun definitely intended); however, I took this device and brought it to land with the Maserati Ghibli.
Last month, I had the opportunityto drive the sleek, chic and incredibly sporty car during a trip home to theDaytona Beach-area. I figured, what better place to drive this speed-enthused vehiclethan the birthplace of racing?
Trust me, it was a great idea.
First, let’s take a look at thestyle of this vehicle. Maserati hooked me up with a glistening black Ghibliwith a sensational red interior to combine luxury with speed. It was beautifuland just what I wanted, even when I did not know it.
The infotainment systems wereeasily navigable through Apple CarPlay, as well asBluetooth which made it a seamless connectivity from start to finish. Thetouchscreen definitely assisted in safety features so the driver will not betempted to look at their phone during driving times.
From there, the seats had optionsfor both heating, which I certainly did not use in the middle of Summer inFlorida, as well as air-conditioned seats – I used this option pretty regularlyand it was fantastic. The seats were also very spacious and accommodating fordrivers and passengers of various sizes. They encapsulated you in thebreathable woven fabrics and leave you feeling comfortable, no matter thedistance driven.
The Ghibli also has various drivingdynamics: Regular, Sport, Terrain (ice, snow, sand, etc.). Since I was in NASCAR country,I had to try out the Sport mode.
WOW. Enough said.
Seriously though, this was anincredible feature that I greatly enjoyed. The fact that I could get from 0-60mph in less than two-seconds was incredible. The engine roared as I changedmodes and it sounded like thunder roaring from beneath me.
Poseidon did not have a thing on mewith this trident adorned speedster.
I felt like one of the racers anddefinitely had the thought that I need to take this out on DaytonaInternational Speedway. Perhaps next time.
Not only was the performance of thecar impressive, the feel of driving in it was also incredible. Heads turn asyou are driving by and smiles are brought upon your face, since you know thatyou are driving such a beautiful machine.
