SX | Tomac and Roczen Commit to Compete in the 2022 FIM World Supercross Championship. Plus, First Race Announced

Roczen Is Slated to Ride in the WSX (450cc) Class.

Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen are going global.

Tomac and Roczen become the biggest names to commit to World Supercross for the 2022 FIM-sanctioned World Supercross Championship, slated to race October 8^th at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales for the British Grand Prix. Tomac will race as a wild card while Roczen, will be committed to the entire season with more dates and races to be announced.

One of the most successful and prominent riders in the sport, Roczen, a 28-year-old German native, comes to WSX boasting an impressive resume, including 48 combined professional 450cc and 250cc victories at events around the world. The 2022 WSX Global Championship will see Roczen bring his incredible talent and championship pedigree to thousands of die-hard fans in stadiums around the world throughout the three-round championship. Roczen is currently in negotiations to finalize an agreement to compete for one of the 10 exclusively licensed teams, with details to be released by the team once an agreement is finalized.

The news of Tomac’s participation as a wildcard entry elevates the first championship round even further with the two archrivals battling it out for the UK fans. Tomac fills one of the four wildcard spots at the WSX Championship opening round.

WSX is the supercharged combination of live action supercross with an amplified level of adjacent entertainment, including live music, pyrotechnics, freestyle motocross shows and more. Principality Stadium will be transformed into the ultimate dirt bike battlefield for one epic night of non-stop action and intense competition. 10 teams and 40 of the best riders from across the globe will do battle for over $250,000 in cash, along with international supremacy.

In December 2021, SX Global announced that it had earned the rights to the FIM World Supercross Championship.
