Oracle Red Bull Racing is honoring its successful partnership with Honda in a spectacular fashion during the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. Featuring a striking tribute to Honda's first Formula 1 victory, the team has unveiled a special livery inspired by the iconic RA272. This celebration not only marks the final chapter of a historic collaboration but also pays homage to 60 years since Honda’s breakthrough 1965 win in the sport.
The 2025 RB21 cars will sport a sleek white and red design, echoing the RA272’s minimalist Japanese flag motif with an "H" on the nose and a special 60th-anniversary logo. Both current drivers, reigning champion Max Verstappen and Japanese hometown hero Yuki Tsunoda, will don matching white, red, and black race suits and helmets. Team Kit partner Castore has further embraced the theme with limited-edition apparel for the week.

Christian Horner, Oracle Red Bull Racing CEO and Team Principal, expressed the significance of the tribute, stating, “Our relationship with Honda deserves celebration. It has been one of continued success, bringing the Team some of the most triumphant and dominant periods in our history. This livery is a fitting tribute to Honda's legacy and a partnership we will always cherish.”
Honda Racing Corporation President Koji Watanabe echoed these sentiments, calling the RA272-inspired livery “moving” and a historic marker in the trajectory of Formula 1.
A Tokyo Takeover in True F1 Style
Ahead of the Suzuka race, Oracle Red Bull Racing took their celebration to Tokyo with the debut REBL Car Culture Meet, a dynamic event connecting F1 fans and Japan’s vibrant car culture. The highlight of the evening was the global unveiling of the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix livery, with Yuki Tsunoda making a surprise appearance. Alongside the RB21 showcars, an iconic 1990s Honda NSX showcased a matching design, tying Japanese automotive history to Red Bull’s modern dominance.

The event also introduced a first-of-its-kind three-way collaboration between Oracle Red Bull Racing, Honda, and Japanese streetwear brand Neighborhood. Exclusive merchandise and customization stations allowed fans to leave a personal touch on the Team’s white-and-red Japan GP collection as car enthusiasts and F1 supporters came together in celebration of shared passion and creativity.

A Historic Red Bull Showrun through Tokyo
Adding to the excitement, Oracle Red Bull Racing staged a world-first Tokyo Showrun through city streets, displaying their deep ties to Honda’s legacy in Formula 1. Verstappen, Tsunoda, and teammates Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar drove a lineup of iconic racecars, including the 1965 Honda RA272, the championship-winning RB16B, and two RB7s from Red Bull’s Heritage collection. This high-energy spectacle brought the spirit of Formula 1 to life for fans in Tokyo while saluting Honda’s monumental contributions to the sport.
Racing into the Spotlight at Suzuka
With the special RB21 livery set to hit the track, Oracle Red Bull Racing is looking to make an unforgettable statement at Suzuka. This tribute to a golden era of motorsport aligns perfectly with a partnership that has redefined success in Formula 1. Fans can expect an emotional and thrilling weekend as the team concludes one of the most celebrated collaborations in racing history.
Honda’s engines helped Max Verstappen secure four World Championships and contributed to Red Bull’s dominance in the Constructors’ arena. The team’s 2023 season, powered by Honda, ranks as the most successful in F1 history. The legacy of this partnership remains secure, and this weekend marks a true celebration of everything it represents.
