A few days ago, they shared a short clip on Instagram that was pure intrigue. The video featured drone footage sweeping over a desert landscape, ending with the message: “The all new signature pro model by Curren Caples coming soon.” That was it. No sign of Curren, no skateboarding, no sneak peek at the shoe itself—just a few seconds designed to spark curiosity. To be honest, it had the vibe of a high-end perfume commercial or something, haha. Check it out below.
Yesterday, Vans took the mystery to the next level by sharing a silhouette-style teaser of Curren Caples' signature shoe. And when I say teaser, I mean it—you can barely make out what you’re looking at.It’s obviously a move to build anticipation (and yeah, I’m hooked), but they’ve definitely got everyone guessing. And while those 15 words still might not tell us much, they at least tell us that the shoe is going to be designed with a vulcanized sole, and even the shadowy photo leads us to believe it will look somewhat like the timeless Vans Old Skool—a shoe Curren skates quite often.
