Triumph Motorcycles has announced the launch of the updated Trident Triple Tribute Special Edition for the 2026 model year. Continuing its tribute to Triumph’s racing legacy, this new edition incorporates modern technology and refined design inspired by the iconic “Slippery Sam” motorcycle, which won five Isle of Man TT races.
The updated Trident Triple Tribute features sapphire black bodywork complemented by cobalt blue and Diablo red accents across the tank, tail, and front of the motorcycle. A bold “67” graphic on the tank pays homage to the famous Trident model associated with Triumph’s racing success. The design is further enhanced by Diablo red wheels, a color-matched flyscreen, and a sculpted belly pan, all included as standard.
Powered by a 660cc triple engine, the Trident produces 80 horsepower and 47 ft-lb of torque. Fully Euro 5+ compliant, the engine is optimized for responsive performance across the rev range, suitable for both city riding and open-road conditions. The motorcycle also features a six-speed gearbox equipped with Triumph Shift Assist for smooth, clutchless gear changes.

Technology upgrades for the 2025 model include Optimized Cornering ABS and Traction Control, which utilize an internal measurement unit to adjust braking and power delivery while leaning through corners. The bike also includes three riding modes—Road, Rain, and Sport—which can be controlled through a full-color TFT display and handlebar controls. Other standard features include cruise control and the My Triumph Connectivity System, enabling phone integration, music control, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Handling is supported by a tubular steel chassis and high-quality suspension components, including Showa upside-down separate function big piston forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock rear suspension. Michelin Road 5 tires provide grip in varying weather conditions, while Nissin two-piston calipers with 310mm discs deliver reliable stopping power.
Designed with accessibility in mind, the Trident has a seat height of 31.7 inches and a wet weight of 418.9 lbs., making it maneuverable for riders of all sizes. It also offers a range of 32 optional accessories, including luggage options, heated grips, and protection upgrades.

According to Paul Stroud, Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief Commercial Officer, the Trident Triple Tribute continues to find popularity in the competitive middleweight category, blending modern styling with advanced engineering. “The striking styling and exceptional finish are sure to turn heads, while the triple engine performance and rider-focused technology will turn even a daily commute into a thrilling ride,” he said.
The Trident Triple Tribute Special Edition will be available starting at $8,745 USD, with bikes arriving at dealerships in June 2025.
