Australia’s Molly Picklum and Jack Robinson have claimed victory at the Lexus Tahiti Pro Presented by I-SEA, the penultimate stop on the World Surf League (WSL) 2025 Championship Tour and the final event of the regular season. It was a day for the record books at the iconic “End of the Road,” with the Final 5 locked in, Rookies of the Year crowned, and champions decided in flawless six-to-eight-foot-plus Teahupo’o barrels.
Picklum’s Maiden Tahiti Win and No. 1 Ranking
Picklum delivered one of the most commanding performances of the season, defeating reigning World Champion Caity Simmers 17.26 to 4.94 in the final. Her run to the title included wins over two former event winners, Vahine Fierro and Caroline Marks, before dismantling Simmers in a one-sided finale. The win—her second CT victory of the year and fourth overall—extends her lead atop the rankings heading into the WSL Finals at Cloudbreak, Fiji.
“What a special place, Tahiti. You feel all the energy… It’s where the dream comes alive,” Picklum said. “I finished number one this year. It’s a massive step in the right direction.”
With prior WSL Finals experience and unmatched late-season momentum, Picklum now has a chance to join the elite list of Australian women’s World Champions.

Robinson’s Fairytale Finish
For Robinson, the stakes were clear—win in Tahiti or miss the Final 5. Channeling legends like Andy Irons and Kelly Slater, Robinson rose to the occasion, securing his ninth CT victory and joining the list of multiple-time winners at Teahupo’o. His path to the final included victories over Rookie of the Year Marco Mignot, defending event champ Italo Ferreira, and Crosby Colapinto.
In the final, Robinson opened with a 9.50 and held his lead to the horn, defeating Griffin Colapinto, who also secured a Finals berth.
“Right where we’re meant to be,” Robinson said. “I had a mission and I went for it. Very blessed to be going to Fiji.”
The win vaulted Robinson from seventh to fourth in the rankings, bumping fellow Aussie Ethan Ewing out of Finals contention.
