F1 driver Perez races for a win this week in Red Bull Homestretch.

Nine new a-list drivers start their engines for the third and final event of the three-part virtual race series on Thursday, June 10 including Perez

Coming off a huge win in Baku, Azerbiajan, Sergio “Checo” Perez looks to continue his winning ways this week but online as Perez joins the cast of talent for the final race of Red Bull Homestretch tomorrow.

Checo took his first victory as a Red Bull Racing Honda F1 driver, surviving a late-race battle with Lewis Hamilton that saw the Mercedes driver lock up and finish in P15 after a red flag restart brought about by a disastrous puncture that robbed Max of an almost certain victory just five laps from the checkered flag.

“It feels amazing to get my first win with Red Bull,” said Perez. “The Team did a tremendous job and I want to thank Mr. Mateschitz for this great opportunity and giving me the seat. I feel very sorry for Max because he deserved the win and a 1-2 for the Team would’ve been very enjoyable. It was a crazy rollercoaster of a race, we were basically flat out from the very first lap and I had Lewis behind pushing me so I couldn’t breathe, it was very challenging but we kept our focus.”

As nice of a win that is, would Checo put a Homestretch win in the trophy case? Just look at his custom livery for the race!

Red Bull Homestretch Event One and Event Two crowned champions at the end of each event; Formula 1 Scuderia AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly and Rallycross star Scott Speed, respectively – after both drivers were forced to contend with wildly varying unexpected rule changes.
