Nitro World Games is back!

First Wave of Athletes Announced for Nitro World Games Brisbane

More than 60 athletes spanning five continents will converge down under seeking the coveted title of Nitro World Games champion.

Even though being there in person in Australia might be difficult for most of us, fans will be able to watch all of the insane action from Freestyle Motocross (FMX), BMX Best Trick, BMX Triple Hit, Skate Vert and Scooter Best Trick on October 7 live from Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Beyond championship honors, national pride will also be very much on the line as Australia hosts Nitro World Games for the first time. Within the action sports community, many already consider Australia a breeding ground for top action sports talent and competition results back this claim. In past contests, Aussie riders have earned 22 Nitro World Games trophies and those from Queensland have topped the podium eight times.

“The past year has been so challenging for the action sports community worldwide,” said Travis Pastrana, the driving force of Nitro World Games, in a prepared statement. “Without competitions, which are the lifeblood for progression, opportunities for athletes to showcase their talents for fans or sponsors have been drastically cut back. Now, with the tremendous support of Tourism Events Queensland and the Brisbane Economic Development Agency, we are putting on the biggest Nitro World Games yet. The response has been fantastic. To see so many athletes from all over the globe eager to push the limits in Brisbane this October is awesome. I can’t wait, and I know that my Aussie friends are looking forward to showing what they can do.”

So the big question is…… Who ya got?
