By now, Olympic skateboarding would have debuted at the Tokyo summer Olympic Games for the entire world to be introduced to the culture that is skate.
Now as we look forward to next summer and the much anticpated debut of skate in the Olympics, USA Skateboarding presents the trailer for our “Road to Tokyo” documentary, premiering on television this fall.
The film follows the USA Skateboarding team through the past 16 months of training, qualifications, injuries, travel, juggling their careers outside of competition, trials, and tribulations. Simultaneously, as the American athletes and personalities leading the charge make their way to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, it showcases the sometimes-tumultuous journey and growing pains of a subculture-turned-Olympic sport.
