Watch YETI Natural Selection Selkirk Tangiers Finals on Red Bull TV April 4

Head-to-head backcountry snowboarding competition culminates in the crowning of the 2024 Natural Selection Tour Champions.

This Thursday, April 4, twelve of the world’s top snowboarders including Olympians, icons and film stars compete head-to-head at the YETI Natural Selection Selkirk Tangiers, the finals. Here in the third stage of the 2024 Natural Selection Tour, held on an all-new venue miles from civilization, the men’s and women’s champions will be crowned…and then drive off in new, all-electric Rivian R1Ts.

All three and a half hours of action from deep in Interior British Columbia’s backcountry will beam “as live” on Red Bull TV to smart TVs, phones, computers and big screens worldwide starting April 4 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM CET.

The riders who came out of the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke on top, eight men and four women, will fly into Mosquito Bowl deep in Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing’s tenure. Mosquito is a massive Northeast facing alpine bowl that stretches 1,600 vertical feet and across 128 acres. The bowl is littered with features that lend themselves to video-part-worthy lines in every run.

Advancing to the Selkirks on the men’s side is Torstein Horgmo (NOR), who will meet Sage Kotsenburg (USA), and Austen Sweetin (USA), who matched with Mikey Ciccarelli (CAN). Then, later in the bracket Natural Selection veterans Jared Elston (USA) and Travis Rice (USA) take on Tour rookies Nils Mindnich (USA) and Torgeir Bergrem (NOR).

Hailey Langland’s (USA) high score at Revelstoke sets her up to compete against Marion Haerty (FRA), who is returning to the Tour after deferring last season for an injury. One of snowboarding’s most decorated riders of all time, Jamie Anderson (USA), will meet Natural Selection rookie Mary Rand (USA), who earned her spot on Tour at the Red Mountain DUEL.

A completely new slate of riders is likely to stand on the 2024 NST podium. On the women’s side, all three of the returning champions and perennial Natural Selection event winners were knocked out in the second stage at Revelstoke. And on the men’s side, six of the eight riders on the men’s side are eyeing their first podium top ever on the Natural Selection Tour.  Travis Rice is the only returning Tour Champion to push through to the finals, while Sage Kotsenburg last won the first stage of the Tour in 2022.

At stake is the crown for the best all-around male and female snowboarders on the planet and new, all-electric Rivian R1T vehicles. Winners will be revealed during the April 4th “as live” broadcast exclusively on Red Bull TV.
